No War! How can we teach our children that violence will not
solve their problems when our
government always turns to violence to solve its problems?

I have truly enjoyed reading your posts online. I wish you sucess in your future classes. Your professionalism is well displayed and I've learned from reading your blog.
ReplyDeleteI agree that our government seems to use violence to solve all our problems. It's like the government is looking for attention and what it takes to get it that's what happens. Our children need to be able to turn on the television without seeing violence. Killing seems like the number one thing to do in certain communities. Children need positive role models from their parents, teachers, and especially the governemnt. Becauese whatever the government (children and all).

Hi Nakita
DeleteThat quote really stirs the mind to think of the messages that we send to those who look up to us for guidance. Yes sometimes we have to forcefully say what we need heard but we should ask ourselves if that is the only way we can approach the problem. Does the governments who use War to solve problems, explore all possible options before they get to war? We must teach children to look for options and explore them, then decide based on peace. Good post.
