One of my favorite authors has always been Dr. Seuss. I enjoy reading his books to see how he rhymes throughout the pages of a book. It is very interesting to me. The title is "The Cat in the Hat". I know you all remember this one. It teaches children lessons, as well.
I too love Dr. Seuss books! When introducing rhyming words I always refer back to the classics. Also, I like how they teach a lesson as well. Plus children tend to love Dr. Seuss books, and it's a great way to get them interested in story time!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry, I posted a comment earlier but I guess I didn't publish the right way. Anyway, Yes! Dr. Seuss was a reading and writing genius. The books always let us all know that it doesn't matter if we make up words or we act silly. Our imagination is the spice of life. When children use their imaginations they can be anything, go anywhere and do everything they want to do. Unfortunately, adults tend to lose their childlike imaginations as they grow older. But thankfully, we as Early Childhood providers get to have so much fun and continue to use ours forever.
