WEEK 6: MY SUPPORTS (6161)

My definition of Support is something you get from another, whether it is through materials, financial or emotionally. It can come from another adult, a child or even a pet. Support from others help you feel loved, needed and helps you get the job done –when you may be tired or feeling low, which everyone needs constantly.

Some say they do not need anyone but I know this is not true. One major thing that I know helps me feel supported comes from the communication that I have with my families. It can be with my husband or with my children, which keeps me going daily. Being able to conversate with others is a wonderful thing. Without other people, whether on the job or at home, I feel I would be a lonely, bitter woman.

If I had to pick something that would be challenging to deal with on a daily basis, I would pick not being able to walk (no limbs). I do feel that I would be able to get the services and the help that I would need to maintain. The extra help would make life a bit easier but I would probably feel depressed at times. So, yes I would need family and friends to provide a positive support system. If I did not have a support system, each day would definitely be a hard road to travel alone. Each and every one of us –as humans need others in our lives.
